Three Ways to Take to the Water
From four hours to three days — each departure is designed around a different kind of time on the water. Find the one that fits yours.
Back to HomeHow Each Departure Is Designed
Keelward's three departures were built from the coastline outward — starting with what the Negeri Sembilan and southern Strait of Malacca coast actually offers, and designing trips that allow guests to experience those places properly rather than pass by them.
Every departure carries a maximum of eight guests, includes all meals relevant to its duration, and is led by crew who know this specific stretch of water well. Itineraries are treated as guides, not rigid timetables — if conditions favour a longer stop at a reef or a slower drift through the estuary, that is what happens.
Quiet Waters Half Day
A four-hour morning sail from the Linggi River estuary into the calm waters of the Strait of Malacca. This departure point offers a distinctive start — winding through a narrow river channel before reaching the open sea. Once in open water, the yacht finds its pace along the coast. A light brunch is served: eggs, roti canai, and fresh tropical juice. The focus is on simplicity — wind, water, and a change of perspective. Guest capacity is limited to eight. Binoculars are provided for birdwatching along the estuarine stretch. A relaxed option for visitors to the Negeri Sembilan region.
What's Included
- Estuarine river channel departure from Linggi
- Open water sailing along the Strait coast
- Light brunch — eggs, roti canai, tropical juice
- Binoculars for estuarine birdwatching
- Safety briefing and life jackets
How the Morning Unfolds
Board at the Linggi River estuary staging point. Safety briefing and introductions.
Slow transit through the mangrove-lined river channel toward open water — binoculars in use.
Open sea sailing along the coast. Brunch served on deck as the boat finds its pace.
Return transit and disembarkation. Approximately four hours total.
Full Day Reef and Shore
A day-long trip from Port Dickson southward to the reefs near Tanjung Tuan (Cape Rachado). The yacht anchors at two reef sites where guests can snorkel among diverse marine life, including parrotfish, clownfish, and soft corals. Between stops, lunch is served — a hearty spread of nasi lemak, grilled prawns, and fresh salad. The afternoon includes a slow pass by the Cape Rachado lighthouse, the oldest functioning lighthouse in Malaysia, followed by time at a protected beach cove. The return journey is timed for sunset. A knowledgeable crew member shares information about the marine environment at each reef stop.
What's Included
- Two reef snorkel sites — parrotfish, clownfish, soft corals
- Snorkel masks, fins, and flotation devices provided
- Lunch — nasi lemak, grilled prawns, salad
- Marine ecology narration at reef sites
- Cape Rachado lighthouse coastal passage
- Afternoon time at protected beach cove
